“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” -ancient proverb
“The enemy of my enemy is my enemy.” -proverb of the Jewish Left
The recent election in Israel represents an example of the latter sentiment. Fundamentally, the election presented Israeli Jews less with an electoral choice for or against Prime Minister Netanyahu and more with a choice for or against President Trump. Clearly, Mr. Netanyahu had tied his candidacy to his somewhat stormy relationship with the President; who, in turn, endorsed his candidacy twice. Witness the billboards. A vote for the Prime Minister served as an expression of gratitude to Mr. Trump as a vital ally. A vote against the Prime Minister served as an expression of disdain for Mr. Trump as a person. Almost half the Jewish Left expressed their disdain. To Hell with Israeli survival! Opinion over survival. As the old saying goes, put two Jews into a room, and you’ve got three opinions.
Mr. Trump is a thin-skinned narcissist. Did not these fools on The Left understand the risk to their own survival by voting against Mr. Netanyahu? Would they have preferred Kamala Harris as President? Apparently so.
Yes, a vote against Mr. Netanyahu was a vote against Mr. Trump; currently the best, most critical ally of Israel. This ingratitude echoes the ingratitude of Jews of The Left towards former President Nixon, also a staunch ally of Israel, who saved Israel during the 1973-war when the feckless Prime Minister Golda Meir of The Left was wringing her hands over a single kibbutz while Israel was being annihilated,
This self-destructive ingratitude also harkens back to the ancient exodus from Egypt when Hebrews displayed their ingratitude towards God by building then worshiping a golden calf. It seems that, for The Left, nothing has changed in these thousands of years.
At the turn of the 20th-century, Eastern European Jews fled violent persecution. By the tens of thousands they came to America, where they enjoyed freedom from governmental persecution. How did the Jews of The Left display their gratitude towards the country that gave them shelter? They organized to change it. In 1950, half of the membership of the Communist Party USA was Jewish!
Today, we are witnessing another rise in anti-Semitism. Jews portray that sentiment as totally unfounded. Really? During the 1920’s in Germany, Jews of The Left overtly proclaimed their goal to destroy Germanic culture, exemplified by promoting primitive art from sub-Saharan Africa to replace Germanic. When the fanatical Chancellor Hitler vowed to eject them and did, they screamed that they were innocent. Innocent? Really?
One consequence of Jewish ingratitude by The Left is the tainting of Jews on the Right. Anti-Semites do not discriminate between Jews on the Right and Jews on The Left.
Yet, Jews have contributed mightily to the well-being of America and the rest of the world. Their beneficial contributions, however, are shrouded by the antics of Jews of The Left. Little wonder that the consequence is anti-Semitism; nevertheless . . .
“The Hebrews have done more to civilize men than any other nation. If I were an atheist, and believed blind eternal fate, I should still believe that fate had ordained the Jews to be the most essential instrument for civilizing the nations.” -John Adams (1725-1826)
