You were warned. Your avuncular President Xi is behaving less like a kindly uncle and more like a cruel step-father. His policies are damaging China politically, economically, and sociologically. His goal appears to be more to have gained self-self-aggrandizement and less to have improved your individual welfare. He seems to fancy himself the second coming of Mao. Another “Red Guard Revolution”, Mr. Chinaman?
Xi has made his plan clear. To employ the historically failed Communism of Mao rather than the historically successful Fascism of Mussolini. Power for him not prosperity for you.
“Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” -Lord Acton (1834-1902)
Behavior has its consequences. What will be the consequences of his plan? Who knows? No one can predict with certainty the future in an uncertain world.
“The future isn’t what it used to be.” -Yogi Berra (1925-2015)
China has a five thousand year history. Provided Xi refrains from engaging in nuclear war, China will survive his mistakes. Remember, tactical nuclear war inevitably becomes strategic nuclear war. Good-bye world! As for the United States?
“Never interfere with an enemy while he’s in the process of destroying himself.” -attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
“An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.” -Arnold Toynbee (1889-1975)
Will one consequence of Xi’s plan be the dashing of Chinese hopes to best the United States as the preëminent global power? Ordinarily, the answer would be yes; however, the bright light of individual liberty illuminating an otherwise dark world is dimming as a consequence of American suicidal policies. Xi is wise not to get China into a shooting war with a fragmenting, declining United States — a nation on fire.
Fragmenting? Declining? A nation on fire? Indeed! It is one consequence of promoting demographic diversity. The consequence of promoting such diversity is divisiveness. The consequence of diversity is self-destruction. Fourteen percent of the American population is foreign born, relatively few being Euro-Caucasians. Meanwhile, only 0.1 of 1% of the Chinese population is foreign born. Add to that the American calamity of the destruction of the American familial structure spearheaded by bastardy and the promotion of homosexuality, an abomination before God according to the Judeo-Christian Scriptures. Those Scriptures were the glue that once held together the West.
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with woman kind; it is an abomination.” -Leviticus 18:22
Fortunately for Xi, at least for the moment the United States is standing on the bank of the River Styx about to cross its dark waters to a netherworld from which countries rarely return. Should the current trend continue, the United States will follow the same path as Great Britain, no longer great.
So, what to do, Mr. Chinaman? Do you need Charlie Chan or Mr. Wong to unravel the mystery?
