Note (05SEP2021): In the most recent edition of The Epoch Times, Roger Kimball wrote of the American military exit from Afghanistan, “ But I suspect that something more insidious at work than simple incompetence.”
What might that something be? Unlike this commentator, Mr. Kimball neglected to specify other than to label it “malevolent”.
insidious adj: awaiting a chance to entrap. –Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary
malevolent adj: having, showing, or arising from intense often vicious ill will, spite, or hatred. –Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary
Insidious and malevolent. Those are the dishonorable characteristics that he ascribed to those whom we allowed to assume control of this nation. Could he have read the posting below from last week?
While critical of the American exit, few, if any, commentators in Big Media explicitly ascribed to the debacle the controlling factors that this commentator did in that posting below. Money. Power. Curious!
-End-
As this commentator sits before the computer, the clock on the mantel of destiny is counting down towards tomorrow, a day of American shame and humiliation when the last American soldier exits Afghanistan, leaving stranded an unknown number of his fellow countrymen. Tick tock. Tick tock.
These United States lost a conflict that this nation once had won. What had buried the bright glory of early victory in, yet, another dark crypt of later defeat? Remember Iraq? Remember Vietnam? Remember Korea? The four, major military conflicts since World War Two. None won by these United States. The culprits? Greed and hubris coupled with arrogance.
As for the Marines and corpsman killed and wounded by the enemy last week? They were not heroes. They were victims of corrupt politicians and obsequious military sycophants masquerading as generals and admirals. Military heroes die as valiant warriors fighting in battle not as passive targets of hostile wrath caught in a trap not of their own making. Their deaths were not a tragedy; they were an outrage.
Why leave the weaponry behind? Money?
Money? Yes. The government now must replace $80-billion worth of weaponry. Even so, the troops could have destroyed the weaponry. Another reason?
Power? Yes. To whom will some of this weaponry go? To terrorists creating mayhem. In a biological context of plague already eliciting mass fear, the consequence of mayhem here in these United States will be what? Anarchy. What follows anarchy? Tyranny! What created the context for such a consequence?
Firstly, greed and hubris infecting those in the military-industrial complex. Recall the following:
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” -President Dwight D. Eisenhower (1961)
Secondly, arrogance inherent in an ideology divorced from reality infecting those in government. It is an arrogance leading to the shame of military defeat and to the humiliation in the eyes of others. How could Americans have allowed such folly among their political leaders to prevail? Folly reflecting arrogance coupled with stupidity, ignorance, and incompetence!
“The woman Folly is riotous; She is thoughtlessness and knoweth nothing.” -Proverbs 9:13
Ask yourself whether the powers behind the scene pulling the strings attached to Puppet Biden really are capable of such monumental folly? Are they really as stupid, ignorant, and incompetent as they appear at this moment? Perhaps not.
Could the appearance of monumental folly actually conceal a camouflaged intelligent, knowledgeable, and cunning gambit intentionally designed to create domestic mayhem that elicits domestic despair? Could such a malevolent plan actually have as its ultimate goal to have inflicted the tyranny of socialistic Fascism upon Americans, a population grown weak, passive, and dependent? If so, poetic justice?
“Every nation has the government for which it is fit.” -Joseph de Maistre (1753-1821)
Joe Biden may be incompetent, but perhaps those whom he represents are highly competent. The powers behind the scene may not be as stupid and ignorant as they appear. Could they skillfully be fulfilling their ultimate goal begun decades ago? Consider that the efforts of their predecessors towards authoritarian socialism began in the late 19th-century under a seductive name — “Progressivism”. Progress? Towards what? Towards tyranny!
Conspiracy? Yes! One that has lasted longer than one hundred years. Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ, and Barrack Hussein Obama — all “Progressives”, even the hapless Taft deceived by TR.
Now comes the final move? Create mayhem in a context of defeat, debt, debauchery, divisiveness, and dependence. Stoke the fire of verbal rebellion among remaining American patriots, physical rebellion being unlikely given the currently emasculated American male. Then? Total tyranny in the name of counter-rebellion. Already, the government has labelled half the American population a threat to the government.
So, what to do? Complain?
Former-President Trump advertises a call — “Save America!” How? Mr. Trump tells us not. Nonetheless, there is a way — a scientific way as described in the novel, Retribution Fever.
The science is Biobehavioral Science incorporating the three guidelines of the Scientific Method; namely, specificity, objectivity, and accountability — all anathemas to our current politicians and bureaucrats. It is a science currently employed by the Chinese to fulfill their particular goals, many of which are hostile to this once-proud nation now on fire. They are winning. We are losing. Do not the pictures at the airport in Kabul tell the story?
Most Americans never have heard of Biobehavioral Science, let alone understand how it could answer Mr. Trump’s call. How many care to know? Apparently, few — very few. Truly, sad!
‘Tis true. ‘Tis pity. ‘Tis pity ’tis true. -from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet
“An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.” -Arnold Toynbee (1889-1975)
So, farewell sweet nation, and may flights of angels carry you to your rightful place in history. A noble experiment concluded. Now a bitter farewell — a farewell filled with remorse but one that must be bid unless . . .
