Note (05FEB2924): “The woman Folly is riotous; She is thoughtlessness and knoweth nothing.” -Proverbs 9:13
Would that old age brought wisdom. Years of experience leading to knowledge leading to understanding leading towards wisdom. Alas, in too many cases, not to be. Instead, we witness among Americans one year of experience repeated many times ad nauseum. Consequence? Folly instead of prudence with the gnarled hands of the old in the pockets of the young and yet-to-be-born. A senile, corrupt, traitorous President Biden guided by a treacherous, anti-White, anti-Semitic, anti-American Obama and his cabal. Marxist Michelle for President?
Save the Republic! Ah, but how?
“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” -Galatians VI:7

Note (29JAN2024): Senescence and its socialist corollary, Medicare, have become problematic for this declining nation; politicians, bureaucrats, and profiteers excepted. Even before the recent plague, Medicare alone had bankrupted the country. Its adverse consequences have included a horde of poorly trained, foreign medical graduates and a multitude of nurses masquerading as physicians.
Biological Consequence
Perhaps most ominous of all is the biological consequence of overpopulation. It is the fundamental factor generating illegal migration. The following is an excerpt from the novel, Retribution Fever:
It was not until approximately 5,000 years ago that complex, human civilizations such as the Egyptian began to appear. Thereafter, spread of civilizations and increase in human population became parabolic. Consequence? Disaster for many other species now and for humans later.
Current Mass Extinction
10,000-years ago. Agriculture appears. Humans number 5-million.
3,000-years ago. Humans number 200-million.
200-years ago. Humans number 1-billion.
Today. Humans number >7-billion.
35-years from now. In these United States of America alone, humans will number 400-million increased from 150-million in 1950; globally, 9.5-billion — should humans still exist.
In 2018, Retribution Fever discussed “Disease X”. Today, such discussion has become commonplace related to the now-corrupted World Health Organization. It’s not nice to anger Mother Nature. Mass human extinction? Best we apply measures to ameliorate her retribution.

So, you want to live a long life; in which case, you are like most other people. Most want to live long, but few want to grow into the so-called Golden Years. Having grown not only old but very old, this commentator, a physician, believes that he possesses some modicum of credibility to comment about living a long life.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” -George Orwell (1903-1950)
To begin, biologically the human life-span travels through two, distinct periods; namely anabolism then catabolism. Construction then destruction. As this commentator can attest, there is little golden about the Golden Years.
The first period begins with impregnation generating an embryo developing into a fully formed fetus. Pregnancy is a period of rapid embryonic then fetal growth and development while bathed in the protective warmth of maternal liquid within the uterus. The peaceful existence ends suddenly and traumatically with the “breaking water” signaling the onset of birthing. In a State of Nature, the fetus falls from the birthing canal face-first into a pile of maternal feces. So begins life ex-utero. Welcome to our world where predator eats prey; and every individual, living organism is destined to have its existence end.
“No arts; no letters; no society; and which is worst of all, continual fear, and danger of violent death; and the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.” -Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679)
Was Hobbes right? Need life be that way?
Once ex-utero, if the fetus survived the trauma of birthing (In a State of Nature, 20% don’t.), parturition is followed by lactation from the mother or a maternal surrogate, allowing further maturation of the neonate. In modern society, inferior artificial “formula” often substitutes for superior human milk. Whichever the case, the neonate remains totally dependent on external support. Over time maturation progresses with growth through puberty (According to Judaic dogma, puberty begins with the appearance of the second pubic hair.) into independence. Maturation ends in the early twenties with final formation of the forebrain. It is then that the shift from youth to old age begins with transition of anabolism into catabolism. Construction becomes destruction. Middle age? In humans, “middle-age” is a social concept not a biological phenomenon; in butterflies, yes — in humans, no. The switch is symbolic of the fact that, like our fellow creatures, basically we are “somatic shells” the function of which is temporary survival and momentary reproduction.
Deterioration or trauma inevitably leads to dying. We humans have existed for, at most one-hundred-thousand years. Only during the last two hundred years has modern sanitation firstly then modern medicine secondly extended artificially the human life-span. We no longer live in a State of Nature but in a State of Captivity like polar bears in a zoo with life-spans extended from twelve years to thirty. Like those polar bears, we suffer disorders of ageing, becoming arthritic, blind, and deaf among other, numerous maladies.
Yes, there is a price attached to our artificially extended lives. Few of us escape paying it. The price? For most, disability, disease, dread, and despair. With the decline of the extended family, that price has become even more demanding.
By age eighty-five, 50% of people suffer from dementia. Less than 20% are fully mobile. Youthful beauty and strength become elderly ugliness and weakness. Few twenty-year-olds undergo painful, cosmetic surgery in order to appear fifty.
So, what to do? Is there a humane and reasonable way to accept reality and to provide an optimal alternative to its denial? After all, he who denies reality enslaves himself to a dismal destiny.
As written in John:8.32, “And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
Fortunately, yes, there is an alternative. You can find that optimal alternative in a novel entitled Retribution Fever. An alternative based upon the Science of Human Behavior. Politics with its deceit and empty promises will not lessen the price of ageing. Science with its specificity, objectivity, and accountability will.
Afterlife? Resurrection with eternal life? Such questions are for Theology not Science; nevertheless, remember that, despite their mutual travails, Religion and Science walk hand in hand. Religion asks why. Science asks how.
“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” -Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
